Heather P.
Office Manager
Hey there, my name is Heather and I have been working at Companion Animal since I was 14 years old. In November 2015, I had the privilege to give birth to a healthy and precious baby girl named, Aliana. I did take a brief break from veterinary medicine and went into banking for four years, but soon realized that I just had to work with animals. Animals are my true passion. I currently have 7 dogs and 2 cats in my house. Anyone who knows me knows that I will rescue any poor baby that needs help. I started in the kennel as a kennel assistant and worked my way up to Office Manager and love every bit of it. I still get to greet customers as they walk in the doors and also help soothe the ones who have lost their beloved pets. I would not change anything because I absolutely love my job and look forward to coming here every day. If you have any questions, concerns or feedback, feel free to come see me at Companion Animal Medical Center. I look forward to meeting you and your baby soon.

I am the Surgery Tech here at Companion. My job and passion is assisting in surgery with Dr. Glen Hartline. I monitor the patients and make sure their surgery is as safe, pleasant, and pain free as possible. I started my employment here in 1996. I have 4 dogs- a Miniature Schnauzer named Blackjack, a Toy Poodle named Brie, an English Bulldog named Abbie, and a Boxer named Beaux. I am married, have 2 children and 2 grandchildren. You may know one of my daughters because she (Heather) works here at Companion Animal also. I am currently going to school to become a certified Veterinary Technician.
Lisa
Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant
Howdy everyone, my name is Lisa and I am a Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant here since 2001. I am a true cowgirl at heart and love all types of animals. I have a real farm at my home which includes horses, dogs, cats, cows, pigs, and occasionally you might find a chicken or two running around. I am married and have 3 children. My daughter also works here sometimes and her name is Shawne. When I am not working, you might find me barrel racing or out showing my cows. Whether I am at the front desk or in the exam room, you can count on me to always strike up a conversation with you and be as helpful as possible.
Samantha
Veterinary Assistant
Hi guys, my name is Samantha aka Sam as everyone calls me. You can usually find me assisting the Doctors in the exam rooms, helping clients, answering the telephones, or…. well, basically, you can find me ALL over the Clinic, because I really enjoy helping EVERYBODY. I started here in 2006 in the kennel and moved up to Veterinary Assistant and enjoyed it so much that I am going to school to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. I have 3 kitty cats named Spook, Little and Munster. I also have my special doggie named Bowie (in the picture with me) and she gets to come to work with me everyday. If you have any questions or concerns about coming to see us, just ask for me and I will make sure you feel right at home.
Hope
Kennel Assistant
Does anyone need Snuggles? I am the “Treat Fairy” and will help with that. I have had pets all of my life and it gives me great pleasure to spoil the babies while here at Companion Animal. I came to Companion Animal in 2010 as a Kennel Assistant and loved it so much that I want to continue to be the great “Treat Fairy” that all of the babies know me as. I make sure they stay clean, feel secure and get lovin’s all day long while I am there. I have 2 dogs, and 1 cat at the moment and that does not count my husband. When your pet’s come in for any length of stay, whether it be for a few hours to a few weeks, rest assured that your baby is getting plenty of lovin here.
Rikki
Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist
Hey, my name is Rikki and I started at Companion Animal Medical Center in October 2014. I am a Shreveport native and graduated from Evangel Christian Academy. I am a very friendly, outgoing, and caring person. I have always dreamed of working with animals one day and my dream has come true. I am beyond excited to come to work each day and make sure all of the babies are played with and comfortable each and every day. I strive to do my very best in all that I do, whether that is mastering a test or taking care of sick babies. I always give 100% to make them feel comfortable and at home just like I would want to be treated. In my spare time, I like to read, shop and watch scary movies. I cannot wait to bathe and take care of your pet next time you come see us.
Heather B.
Professional Pet Stylist/ Veterinarian Assistant
I began working at Companion Animal Medical Center in 2007. After working there for 4 years, I had to move to Texas. I enjoyed working at Companion so much that I proceeded to look for a job at another clinic in Texas. This time I was able to work at a Large Animal practice that helped horses, cows, dogs, cats, and even some exotic animals such as ferrets, birds, and iguanas. I moved back to Shreveport, LA and started working as a groomer, since that was my true passion. I love making the babies look and feel beautiful. I came back to Companion Animal Medical Center in January 2015 to bring Grooming to their facility. I have been grooming since 2005. When I am not grooming or helping customers and their pets in the exam rooms, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and my pets. I currently have 2 dogs. Barkley, a rat terrier and Paris, a Great Dane. I also have 3 pet rats. I would love to spoil your baby and make him/her look and feel beautiful so feel free to call and ask me any questions about my grooming experience.
